Effect of Planting Geometry and Nutrient Management on Yield, Economics and Quality of Dwarf Rice Bean (Vigna umbellata) under Rainfed Condition

Rice bean (Vigna umbellata) is one of the under-utilized crops which can become a promising pulse crop. A field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2020 at Research Farm, College Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur to study effect planting geometry and nutrient management on yield, economics quality dwarf rice under rainfed condition. The laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) replicated thrice. treatments comprised three viz; S1 : 30 cm x 10 cm, S2: 45 S3: 60 four practices F0: Seed treatment with molybdenum + phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB), F1: 20 kg P2O5/ha seed molybdenum+ PSB, F2:40 P2O5 /ha PSB F3: PSB. Results indicate that × (PSB) significantly influenced yield gave maximum economic returns. highest (14.65 q/ha) recorded spacing S3 superior over upto tune 8.7% (13.37q/ha). Among different practices, (16.01 from F3 found be par F2 (15.70 F1 F0 (12.71 q/ha 11.70 q/ha, respectively). increase were 26.9% 25.5%, respectively control (F0). various geometry, gross return (Rs 117240/ha), net 71334/ha) benefit cost ratio (2.54) lowest 106960/ha), 60304/ha) (2.29) S1. In respect (Rs128053/ha), 80877/ha) (2.72) associated 93360, Rs 48058 2.06, interaction crude protein (397.75 kg/ha) 48.2 % higher than (205.92 kg/ha).
